THE 2018 LEXUS LS500 RWD - AN AUDIOPHILES DREAM!

Hey Sassy Peeps,

I cannot tell you guys how excited I was when I was approved to test out the 2018 Lexus LS500. I had already pegged this vehicle spectacular based off appearance alone. However, since driving the sedan, it is definitely one of my top two for 2018. The other is the LC500. Yes, I know that we still have a few months left in this year, but guys trust me, the look, performance and quality of both vehicles makes it extremely hard for their competitors to beat!

There is a sophistication and elegance about both vehicles that puts them in a class by themselves.

I am always amazed at the attention certain vehicles draw when I have them in my possession. If you keep up with my blog, you will notice that in a few of my posts, I joke about the brands mixing pheromones into the vehicles’ paint. Well to keep the joke going, Lexus pretty much doubled their dose with this one.

The amount of admirers that approached me during the seven days I had it was a bit overwhelming. Let me be clear, it was overwhelming in an impressive way. On the second day of me having the sedan, a young man darted across an EXTREMELY busy street just to tell me how bada** the vehicle was and wanted to discuss ALL of the specs. At that very moment the only thing I could think was, “Lexus, you definitely have a winner!” That was only one of many! There was an elderly couple who boldly asked if I could take them for a ride in the vehicle. I politely said no, but again, I was totally impressed by the amount of adoration and enthusiasm that everyone displayed each time I took it for a spin. Although I am not sure why I was so surprised, as stated above, it is truly a SPECTACULAR machine!

Needless, to say I am/was just as impressed as ALL the other admirers! Besides the obvious, there are a few features that made it even more DREAMY. One being the Mark Levinson, 23-spkr, 2,400-watt Reference Surround Sound Audio System with DVD/CD player.

Now y’all already know that I am a self-proclaimed “Audiophile”.

Per Wikipedia, An audiophile is a person who is enthusiastic about high-fidelity sound reproduction. Audiophile values may be applied at all stages of music reproduction: the initial audio recording, the production process, and the playback, which is usually in a home setting.

When they dropped the vehicle off, I followed my “just got a new vehicle to test” ritual. Which is, adjust the seats and the mirrors, look for the spec sheet and sync Bluetooth. I then scrolled to my fave song on my playlist, Desperado by Rihanna, hit play, cranked the sounds up a bit, and was astonished by the superior sound that came from that Mark Levinson 23-spkr, 2,400-watt Reference Surround Sound. It was like magic! It truly was like nothing I had ever heard! #TotalPerfection!

That magical sound, and those butterfly headrests had me in Lexus heaven.

This luxury sedan comes equipped with a 3.5 L V6 Turbo Engine, 442 lb-ft @ 1,600-4,800, 10-speed electronically controlled Direct-Shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters / manual mode and goes 0-60 MPH in 4.6 seconds. It gets 19 mpg city, 30 mpg highway (23 combined).
