The Ford Bronco was first introduced in 1965, and although it took a while to find its footing, it eventually became one of the most iconic SUVs in American history.
The vehicle continued production for 30 years, seeing a total of five generations and was discontinued in 1996 following the decline of the two-door SUV. The public wanted something bigger, so the company replaced it with the four-door Expedition; followed by the larger Excursion.
After a 20+ year hiatus, the sixth-generation Ford Bronco is back and better than ever. I recently had the pleasure of doing some serious off-roading in the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades and it was simply incredible.
Keep reading to learn more about the vehicle, along with my 4X4 adventure.

The Drummond Island 4X4 Adventure
When I arrived in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for my first off roading 4X4 adventure I wasn’t sure expect. However, I did know that I was excited, nervous and ready.
It didn’t take me long to realized that the 2022 Bronco Everglades is an off-roading breast and definitely equipped to go further off the grid.
This special edition Bronco was designed, engineered and built wild. Ford raised the vent tubes for both axles, the transmission, and the transfer case to ensure that you can depend on it to not only take you into the outdoors safely but also bring you back safely.

“Bronco enthusiasts demand style as well as performance, so we challenged ourselves to create a snorkel with high-end function and a look that really suits the vehicle,” said Ryan Olsson, design manager. “What really sets the Everglades snorkel apart is the head and reversible intake. It completely changes the way a snorkel can look and function.”
