Disclosure: All accommodations for 2023 Chicago Auto Show were provided to me by Nissan. However, all opinions are my own.
The 2023 Chicago Auto Show was open and in full effect from Feb 11th – Feb 20th. Like every year, it had something for everyone, including puppies, off-roading courses, supercars, vintage vehicles and so much more. Manufacturers brought in hundreds of different vehicles from 27 different manufacturers, both domestic and international, for consumers to check out and even test drive in some cases.
Needless to say, I had a blast! I had the opportunity to see all of my favorite cars/SUVs/trucks and even participate in some very cool and interactive track courses, all while catching up with old friends and also making some new ones.
Check out 5 of my favorite things about the show below…

2023 Chicago Auto Show
1. NISSAN – The Z

I am a huge fan of the Nissan brand. However, I always find myself Fan-Girling over this Nissan Z.
The seventh-generation sports car’s boxy front grille, half-circle LED headlights, flat Y–Shaped hood bulge and retro inspired, yet modern exterior is simply gorgeous and very recognizable. I had the vehicle for a week and there wasn’t a day that went by where someone approached about the gorgeous and recognizable body-style.

2. Ford – 2024 Mustang Dark Horse
The all-new seventh-generation Mustang Dark Horse is the pinnacle of 5.0-liter V8 performance. This vehicle fuses premium materials, colors, patterns, and finishes to reinforce its aggressive track-focused look and style. Signature appointments make the Mustang Dark Horse driver-centric cockpit exude even more craftsmanship, quality, plus an exclusive athletic precision appearance.

Exclusive to the Dark Horse’s sinister and menacing style, cooler shades of blue are appointed throughout, featuring Indigo Blue interior accents, a signature anodized blue titanium shift ball with the manual transmission and available Blue Ember metallic paint.

3. Ford – BUILT WILD Drive Track – Bronco Mountain Experience
“Are you ladies afraid of heights?” was one of the first questions the driver instructor asked when I got in the Bronco. I said no, but I’m not so sure after the BUILT WILD Drive Track – Bronco Mountain Experience. I was so nervous, I laughed pretty much the entire time!

The ‘BUILT WILD’ course is a Bronco off-road course, where visitors will take on a 38-degree high Bronco Mountain with professional drivers. I definitely felt the thrill of the climb while learning more about the impressive Bronco G.O.A.T. tech (Goes Over Any Terrain), are mode capabilities and technology that makes off-roading even more exciting and intelligent.

4. Toyota – Grand Highlander w/Mario Brothers Installation
Nintendo anyone? Toyota equips the all-new Grand Highlander with a huge Mario Brothers Installation…and guess who played it. I hadn’t played a video game in years. I totally felt like a kid again. It not only looks cool, but it is really fun and interactive!!!

5. Toyota – NASCAR and Van Gogh
Yall already know, I’m about that NASCAR life. So, when I found out that they had teamed up with the Art Institute of Chicago for the first-ever 12-turn Chicago Street Race ever, I was front and center during the media conference.

During the conference they unveiled a very cool and eclectic Toyota Camry Pace Care with Van Gogh’s face delayed on the side, which is extremely artistic and cool.
Note: The street of Chicago race is July 1-2, 2023, and tickets are as low as $565.00, w/an average ticket price of $700.00.
