Hey guys,
Last year I had the pleasure of exploring Las Vegas in the iconic 2023 Nissan Z and it was nothing short of amazing. However, it’s a different experience when you test a vehicle out for an entire week.
During this week, I discovered a few cool easter eggs/features that I didn’t notice the first time I drove the vehicle. For instance, “1969”, the year the original Z was sold in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z, placed discreetly near the bottom of the rear window glass. And the storage space behind the seats…. yay for a place to put your handbag!
Keep reading to why the redesigned 2023 Nissan is totally crush worthy..

Nissan Z
1. Gorgeous and Recognizable Exterior

I simply love the exterior design of the Z.
The seventh-generation sports car’s boxy front grille, half-circle LED headlights, flat Y–Shaped hood bulge and retro inspired, yet modern exterior is simply gorgeous and very recognizable. I had the vehicle for a week and there wasn’t a day that went by where someone approached about the gorgeous and recognizable body-style.
Nissan was definitely on-point with the all-new sports car design.
2. Vibrant Colors

Another thing that I am totally crushing on are the vibrant colors. I love that there are so many cool choices, allowing buyers to step outside the traditional color box into something more striking and beautiful colors.
After taking a look at all of the available colors, I have to say that although my favorite color is red, the Two-Tone Seiran Blue TriCoat / Super Black is definitely my favorite in this case.
Check out the list of colors below:
Solid:
- Rosewood Metallic
- Black Diamond Pearl
- Gun Metallic
Two-Tone:
- Two-Tone Ikazuchi Yellow TriCoat / Super Black
- Two-Tone Passion Red TriCoat / Super Black
- Two-Tone Seiran Blue TriCoat / Super Black
- Two-Tone Boulder Gray Pearl / Super Black
- Two-Tone Brilliant Silver Metallic / Super Black
- Two-Tone Everest White TriCoat / Super Black
3. Manual Option Available

The 2023 Nissan Z comes available in two different transmission types, 9-speed automatic or 6-speed manual.
Some people prefer one over the other, which is totally understandable, because there are definitely specific cars that I would prefer a manual transmission over an automatic any day. However, in this case, I will happily drive either.
4. Driving Experience

My Nissan Z drive experience was fantastic.
The vehicle’s 3.0L, twin turbocharged V6 engine, 400 hp/350 lb-ft of torque and dynamic race inspired cockpit definitely made it fun to drive. However, there were a few additional features that solidified this fantastic drive experience. Check them out below…
- Major eye-candy
- Responsive technology, outstanding safety and driver assistance
- Strong, durable with great handles and braking.
- Comfortable cabin, providing decent amount of leg and headroom.
- Although I didn’t take it there, the performance car has a top speed of 160 mph
- Goes 0 to 60 in 4.3 secs
5. Price Point

The Nissan Z is offered in three trim levels: Sport, Performance and Proto Spec (Limited launch Edition).
Starting MSRP for each trim:
- Sport: $39,990.00
- Performance: $49,990.00
- Limited-edition Proto Spec: $52,990.00
Although the Z is more expensive than its predecessor, the 370Z, it outperforms several of its competitors, making it a pretty insane budget friendly performance car to own.
Additionally, there is no price difference between the two (automatic and manual), which makes me love it even more.

Took the 2023 Nissan Z out for a spin! Check it out…

It’s probably no surprise that I had a blast with the 2023 Nissan Z! I was extremely impressed by its retro, yet modern design, comfortable cabin, responsive technology and thrilling performance. This vehicle is a magnificent blend of the past and the present.
