LEGOLAND HOTEL FLORIDA RESORT OFFICIALLY OPENED MAY 15, 2015! The massive hotel is a five-story Lego-themed hotel that features 152 themed rooms and four suites. There are more than 2,000 LEGO models in the entire Hotel created out of two million+ Lego bricks. As soon as you walk through the entrance you are immersed in a super innovative and creative LEGO world. The entire concept is meant to bring the imaginations of children to life. This is definitely an awesome concept, but what about adults? With all the LEGO excitement, it is imperative that grownups have ways to relax and enjoy themselves.
Although LEGO’S are universal, when you think of them you initially think children’s toys, which makes all the sense in the world. However, outside of being super innovative, this hotel sets itself apart by ensuring that adults don’t get lost in this extra colorful universe. True! It is built for a child’s pleasure, but there are a few very important amenities that adults will love and appreciate.

ACCESS TO HEATED SWIMMING POOL – Everyone knows that children don’t care about the temperature of a pool. They just want to jump in a have fun. However, most times adults are not as careful. We tend to test the waters before jumping in and enjoying a well-needed swim. That’s the way it is always great when you have a nice, heated pool for the entire family to enjoy.

SUPER COOL ROOMS W/AMAZING AMENITIES – The hotel offers four different theme rooms for guest to choose from: Adventure, Pirate, Kingdom or LEGO Friends. These selections are great and will make any kid squeal with delight. Outside of loving the room service option, free Wi-Fi and On-Demand content, I squealed when I noticed that the rooms are sectioned off so that the adults and the children have their own private area. In addition, they come equipped with luggage storage, two TVs, a very plush and massive king-size bed, bunkbed and a showerhead that will make you feel like you died and gone to heaven. The VIP Suites feature a king-size bed and can sleep up to 6 people, with a living room, pull-out sofa, kids’ play area and 3 flat panel TV’s. NOTE: Some rooms have a gorgeous view of Lake Eloise and the LEGOLAND theme park.

THE BRICKS FAMILY RESTAURANT – The BFR is simply amazing!!! Everything that I tasted was exceptional! The buffet station is designed specifically to provide healthy options for kids. However, as I made my rounds, I noticed they serve a variety of food; including vegetarian style meals, which can satisfy the appetites of adults as well as the children. NOTE: Restaurants and Lounges are open to the public based on availability.
BOARDWALK ALONG THE FAMOUS LAKE ELOISE – The gorgeous Lake Eloise is a large natural freshwater lake on the south side of the Winter Haven, Florida. The family pool overlooks the lake, and it is great for evening walks alone or with the family.

NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT – After a long day of “family” time, moms and dads may need some “me” time. Once all of the events were over, I headed downstairs to the “Skyline Lounge” to hang out with a few friends for some “girl” time and a cocktail! NOTE: My drink of choice was cranberry juice, but needless to say if you want something stronger it is available! 🙂

As you can probably tell I was on a quest to find cool and relaxing things for adults to take part in as well as children while visiting LEGOLAND FLORIDA RESORT! To be perfectly honest it wasn’t very hard. They ensured that they captured the hearts of BOTH the children and the not so young at heart during the entire staycation. My mother and I had an amazing time and would return in a heartbeat!
