What will you be doing this January? How will you bid farewell to 2018 and greet 2019 in the best possible way? If you don’t know yet, then perhaps it would be a good idea to host the best party for yourself and all of your closest friends, family members or relatives. Surely, you can choose to find a venue, but you can always opt for throwing a great party in the comfort of your own home (or any other place that you own and think it would be a good idea). Since the pressure is very high when hosting a party by yourself, you might do well with a list of things to have in mind and tips and tricks on how to host the best party ever. Luckily for you, we have everything you need!
Invitations + dress code

So, the first thing that you need to do is make a list of all the people you will invite to your party. Once you have that settled, prepare the invitations – these are not mandatory, of course, but it could be a super cute idea. There are plenty of ready-made invitations that you can buy, or you can use the perks of an app, make your own invitations and send them out via different social networks such as Instagram, Viber, Whatsapp or even Facebook Messenger. A very important tip: if you want it to be a very classy event, don’t forget the dress code. The black tie dress code is always a great idea, but you can also be a bit more original and request everyone to have something golden that will symbolize 2019.
Prepare the food

The buffet is always a very important segment of any party. Since you probably won’t have time to make everything by yourself (but it would be a great idea nonetheless), you can always use the perks of the best catering companies in NYC and other major cities in America. If you happen to be living in NYC then you’re lucky enough as it’s widely known that catering companies in this city really do know their job, so they’re trying to make the best food depending on the season and the occasion. However, there are great catering companies all over the globe so try to find one that is available and order the food that you want.
Prepare the bar

Apart from the buffet, you definitely need to think about the bar. You want to go big, so make sure that you have all the necessary drinks. In order to save some money on buying literally all kinds of drinks, you can make a menu with cocktails that you can make from just a couple of different drinks – it’s always nice to have an interesting choice of drinks on the table. So, for example, focus on all the vodka and gin-based cocktails, get several bottles of wine and whiskey, and you’re good to go.

If you’ve settled everything related to the food and the bar, now it’s time to think about the music, which will come as a quite an easy task. Making a list of all the biggest hits of the previous year is always a great option. Of course, this also depends on your general taste in music, so whatever you think is good – go with it!
Decor
Using gold and white as your predominant colors is always a very beautiful and classy idea. Make sure to have white plates and golden napkins, get different golden decoration pieces and make the whole venue festive. Since this is also something that can take some time, it would be a great idea to invite a couple of friends over to help you with this task. You still have a day and a half, though, so you will definitely make it!
