I love traveling to different parts of the world to explore new cultures, taste different foods and admire/take photographs of gorgeous street art. Lucky for me, I live in South Florida, which is full of culture, there is delicious food on just about every corner, and the street art is insane.
This past week, the ladies of Femme Drive explored several different cities, including Wynwood, South Beach, Boca Raton, Delray and more. It was definitely an incredible and memorable time. Keep reading to check out the fun we had together.
Visit South Florida
1. Wynwood Walls

Wynwood is home of several beautiful galleries, tons of graffiti and cool restaurants. Although this place has not always been something to celebrate, it is now an area where locals and tourists are always excited to visit.
I have been there many times, but this is the first time that I have experienced it with the entire Femme Drive crew, while driving a fleet of 2023 Chevy SUVs (Trailblazer, Traverse and Tahoe). And as always, the walls were the perfect backdrop for these bold, sassy and beautiful vehicles.
We started at NW 26th St and NW 2nd St and just winged it for the rest of the time. As long as you remember where you parked you really can’t go wrong. This area of Miami has huge murals on every corner, so unless you are looking for something specific all you need to do is pick a direction and start walking. Trust me when I say you can’t go wrong.

Just a heads up:
- Several of the walls are painted over randomly. So, what you see today might not be there tomorrow. There are very few that go untouched. There were a few specific pieces that I had been dying to see/photograph. However, I took my time, because me, being the silly person that I am, figured no one would dare paint over Tupac or Biggie! HA! Note to myself…next time don’t take anything for granted! While I was out discovering other art in nearby areas, I missed my chance to see what I considered to be the most epic of all masterpieces.
- The Miami Art District is approximately between NW 20th Street and 36th Street and NE 2nd Avenue to I-95; however, the heart of the district is roughly between NW 22nd Street and NW 29th Street and North Miami Avenue to NW 4th Avenue.)
2. Delicious Food Options
There are so many amazing food options in the South Florida area. Check out a few of our choices below….
Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar

When you visit South Florida, visiting a beach or two is a must. While the ladies were here, we headed to Virginia Beach and Boynton Beach for some fun in the sun. We also visited South Beach, but it was for the nightlife.

4. South Beach Nightlife

Miami Beach is a nine-mile-long barrier island along the Atlantic Ocean, that is divided into three distinct neighborhoods. South Beach (South Pointe Park north to 23rd Street), is the most famous of the trio.
We headed there for some nightlife and had a blast. The swaying palms and iconic pastel-colored Art Deco buildings along with the live music is truly something to see.
