Hey Sassy Peeps!

Health and wellness are such an important part of our everyday work life balance. A lot of times the world is moving so fast and we are so busy we forget the importance of taking care of ourselves. There have been times when I would get so annoyed and overwhelmed that I would find myself just sitting there FUMING or WALLOWING in my OWN self pity. Well NOT anymore Sassy Peeps! After I was tired of being sick and tired I found several ways to get out of my own head and place that negative energy into something fun, productive and healthy.

Check out a few of those ways below….

Read a Book

Wind DownI don’t know about you guys, but I have always loved to read. It has always helped me forget about what’s going on in my world and get lost in the characters’ world. A few of my top choices are African American Fiction, Vampire Novels and Mystery. I tell you guys if I am reading a really good book, I can get lost in the pages for hours and by the time I am done I feel so much better.

Work Out

Wind DownWhenever I go to the gym my days are a lot LESS stressful. Once I get there I take all of that bad energy out on a machine. These are the days I get my best workouts and once I am done, boy do I feel better!

Steamy Shower or Hot Bath

Ummm I need to hug the person who created this shower. #TheNewKia @kiamotorsusa @kia_motors @hardrockhotelsd #video #cargirl #automeetsfashion #automotive #innovator #SassyDrives #sassy #lifestyle

A nice steamy shower or hot bath also does the trick. They always seems to wash the stress of the day away and once I am done it is so easy to wind down and relax.

Spa Day

Wind DownWho doesn’t love a spa day! After a long and stressful day/week there is nothing like getting pampered. Getting your mind and body worked over will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world!

Wine Down

I don’t drink that often, but I do love to partake in a really GOOD bottle of Pinot Noir while listening to some of my favorite tunes. Soothing music and a few glasses after a long day always seems to make EVERYTHING better!

Although I have not had the pleasure of trying it, word on the street is that ONEHOPE Wine has the best Pinot. Which is definitely on my MUST TRY list!

Dinner With Friends

Wind Down

Another way that helps me to wind down is food! Inviting friends out for a delicious dinner is super fun and super relaxing. This is the time where we relax, relate and release.

Leave Your Mark On The Beach

Wind Down

The beach also does the trick. I can not tell you how much I look forward to watching/listening to the waves and/or walking up and down sandy beaches so that I can leave my mark. I know my foot prints will be washed away sooner than later, but I figure if I capture them my mark will always be there.

Now to you Sassy Peeps! What are some of the things you do to wind down after a stressful day? Inquiring minds want to know!
